Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and if you’re anything like me then you are probably still figuring out what in the world to do with your spouse or partner that day since there is so much going on and there are way too many options to choose from. It can honestly feel a bit overwhelming since the majority of restaurants in town usually offer some type of pre-fixed menu just for this special day so just trying to figure out where exactly to eat is sometimes not the easiest task to do. However, I found a few really unique ideas for Valentine’s Day this year if you live in South Florida or are visiting from out of town during this time so if you still don’t have any plans or feel lost on what to do then no need to stress because I found some things to do for you!
Here are five unique date night ideas that you can do with your spouse or partner this Valentine’s Day:
1.) Titanic Dinner at The House of The River
Have you ever wondered what the dining experience and food was like inside the famous ship Titanic that sank on April 15, 1912? One restaurant in Fort Lauderdale called The House of The River has a real treat for couples who love Titanic and its history along with fine dining. This Valentine’s Day they are offering a 11-course dinner and wine pairing experience where couples can taste modernized recreational dishes and get a feel of what the last dinner was like that was served to first-class passengers aboard the Titanic on the night of April 14, 1912 right before it sank. Talk about being transported to the past!

For all of my dessert lovers out there Sweet Aloha Ice Cream is offering a special and exclusive ice cream tasting experience for all of the romantic couples on Valentine’s Day at their store location in Davie. This one-of-a-kind dessert shop serves premium homemade ice cream including unique flavors such as Ube, Adzuki (Red Bean), and Kalhua Almond Fudge (to name a few) along with authentic Hawaiian Shaved Ice which you can’t find in too many places in South Florida. If you would like to indulge in appetizers such as strawberries and cream along with a dessert flight made up of three signature ice cream flavors all while listening to ukulele serenades in the background with a mimosa in hand then this unique experience is definitely for you!

3.) Moonlight & Music Valentine’s Day Concert at The Deering Estate
There is nothing that screams romance more than dinner (or in this case a picnic) under the stars with a concert playing in the background. What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day then at The Deering Estate where you can have a romantic picnic dinner on a blanket while listening to jazz, pop & soul music from this year’s featured artist, Melina Soochan who is a singer-songwriter and pianist. There will also be an opening performance by singer/songwriter Samantha Natalie. Couples have the option of either packing their own picnic dinner, preordering food or purchasing food when they arrive and then settling into their lawn chairs or cozy blanket.
