Two weeks ago I got to attend a very special and fun foodie influencer event at Chico Malo, a lively upscale Mexican restaurant located in CityPlace Doral. The event was hosted and put together by my beautiful and talented friend, Franccesca Canales who is an influencer, creator, blogger, photographer, and much more! It was actually her first official SouthFlo Fellowship foodie event and the turnout overall was very intimate and consisted of a small group of Miami influencers which I loved because it made it easier to connect with one another.
The event started off with everyone socializing and connecting with one another and getting to enjoy some cocktails made with Del Maguey Mezcal and Tequila Avion. I had the most delicious and refreshing Mocktail that was super light, bright, and beautiful that I had to snap a photo of it! Afterwards, we got to learn a little bit about the difference between Mezcal and Tequila from Black Somms before indulging in all the mouthwatering bites!
For the food, we started off with some tortilla chips that was served with two different salsas: Roja and Verde along with their signature traditional guacamole. I am a huge salsa and guacamole fan so I loved this starter especially the guacamole because it was so fresh and addicting! Aside from that, we got to enjoy two different types of tacos, mexican style elote, and the most mouthwatering, juicy, and tender ribs you could ever taste that is served with a side of the spiciest sauce ever which I had mistaken for as Guava sauce. All of the food at Chico Malo was absolutely phenomenal and super delicious and it’s definitely a place I would like to come back and visit to try out their brunch menu.
Aside from the food and the incredible company, what I really loved about the event was the ambiance of the restaurant because it had the most beautiful decoration that made you feel like you were dining in Tulum along with live music. It was definitely the perfect setting for an influencer gathering and I am so thankful for Franccesca Canales behind SouthFlowithFran who invited me and to Chico Malo for kindly hosting us!
