Favorite Miami Summer Look 2018 - The Cultured Local

With Fall just around the corner I couldn’t help but share my favorite Miami summer look of 2018 before officially saying goodbye to the summer. If there is one color that I absolutely love in clothing it’s yellow so as you can imagine I was very happy to see so many women rocking the different variations of yellow dresses in Miami this past summer. I mean after all we do live in the sunshine state and who doesn’t love bright dresses right?

So with that said, while doing some light shopping at Ross earlier this summer I found what is now my favorite romper dress of 2018 and I wanted to share the complete look that I put together for a photo shoot that I did in late July with a blogger friend of mine. What really caught my eye about the romper dress in the first place was the long “tail” in the back and the pretty floral print. The color and shade of the dress was also very appealing because it wasn’t a dark or very light shade of yellow.

For shoes, I decided to pair the romper with some adorable (and super comfortable) wedges from J.Crew which I had actually found at a local thrift store at a ridiculously low price! I thought they were perfect and I loved how you could wrap the laces around the ankle! As for accessories, I wore some pom pom earrings that I received as a gift from a local boutique shop in Wynwood called Please Don’t Tell Shop because they matched perfectly with the colors of the romper dress.

Last but not least, I ended up styling the romper dress with my favorite purse from Urban Expressions that I felt complemented the look so perfectly since it had floral embellishments to it. What’s really neat about my purse was that you could wear it two ways: like a wristlet/clutch or shoulder style. In this case I went ahead and wore it like a wristlet/clutch just so I can try something different and because it made it easier to grab and go from one spot to the next during the photo shoot.
